About the event
PROTECTING & PRESERVING WAQUOIT BAY
Tuesday, July 18th, 6:30pm
The Waquoit Bay Yacht Club is located at the head of beautiful Waquoit Bay. As members of the club, we use and enjoy the Bay regularly, boating, fishing, swimming and just sitting and appreciating the view. Along with that, we also have a responsibility to assist in improving the waters of the Bay.
Rick Otis, a new WBYC member and President of the Citizens for the Protection of Waquoit Bay, will do a short presentation on the current degraded environmental status of the Waquoit Bay estuary. He will also review the actions being taken by both Mashpee and Falmouth to address the problem, potential implications on residents in nearby neighborhoods, and the Massachusetts Environmental Department’s regulations intended to solve the problem.
Do you have questions you would like answered? Rick is there to address any questions or concerns you may have.
